...........because you don't know what path they are walking.

Life can throw you some doozies sometimes.  And none of us are immune.  Just thought I would let you know that you all are on my heart and mind.  When I think of what I am thankful for, I always put my friends and family at the top of the list. 

And you just never know when you encounter people during the day, what trials they may be facing.  A kind word or a smile may make the difference in someone's life today. 

And I am so thankful to be in a business where my customers become my friends and my friends become my customers.  I want to be your Realtor for life!  After being in the business for over 30 years, it is gratifying to watch as families grow and change.  I love being part of the wonderful experience of finding just the right home at each stage in your life.

I thought I would tell you what my assistant, Lisa, has been doing.  She has the dreadfully monotonous job of sticking on mailing labels and stamps on all of my correspondence.  She decided that she would pray for each person as she sticks the label on the postcards.  So you are thought of and prayed for as pieces of mail go out.

Oh, and if you are inclined to pray, please pray for Lisa's mother.  She fell almost a month ago and fractured her pelvis.  Since then, because of osteoporosis, then have been multiple fractures that have widened.  These fractures didn't show up for a couple of weeks because they were probably hairline fractures.  So now, she is on complete bedrest in a skilled nursing facility. 

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall colors.  I certainly am.

Remember the story about the tortoise and the hare?  The hare races off fast and furious while the tortoise just plugs along at a steady pace.  In the end, the hare fizzles out but the tortoise, pacing himself, overtakes the hare at the end of the race.

That story reminds me of the current Real Estate situation in the United States.  Over the past few years, other areas were showing phenomenal growth, while Oklahoma City remained steadily one of the most affordable places to purchase real estate.  While other areas experienced double digit appreciation, we were only seeing 4% to 8% appreciation.

Below, I have posted a map from zillow.com that shows how the tortoise wins in the end.  Aren't you glad you are in Oklahoma?  I am!  And I am glad that my biggest investment is real estate. 

The map is rather small.  The areas in gold are the ONLY cities to show any appreciation over the past year.
